Dr. Joshua D. Stewart is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine of ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College. He received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kansas, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society, as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He went on to complete a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical Center followed by sub-specialty fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine of ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College. Dr. Stewart is a board-certified Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Stewart has received numerous awards for his clinical excellence, medical research, and teaching, including the Excellence in Teaching Award and the Outstanding House Staff Award as a chief resident at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical Center. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Stewart has authored and co-authored many articles and textbook chapters in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He has presented his research at numerous national and international meetings on topics such as fertility preservation, pre-implantation genetic testing, male factor infertility, frozen embryo transfers, and laparoscopic surgery outcomes. In 2019, he received a prize scientific paper award at the Annual Meeting of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society for his research on mechanisms impacting male factor infertility. His current areas of interest include pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT), third party reproduction, and LGBTQ reproductive possibilities.
Dr. Stewart specializes in all aspects of reproductive medicine, including ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperminjection (ICSI), low responders to ovarian stimulation, fertility preservation, egg freezing, oocyte donation, amenorrhea, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, recurrent miscarriage, fertility surgery, male infertility, and LGBTQ reproductive services. He is also a skilled surgeon, performing a variety of minimally-invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of uterine, ovarian, and tubal disorders.
